You may have noticed the new parking self-service pay stations that were recently installed on campus in 8 parking lots and the two information kiosks. Transportation Services has purchased new T2 “Luke Cosmo” parking systems which have been installed in lots offering daily and/or hourly parking. These pay stations will be an additional way to pay for short term parking along with the ability to use the ParkMobile app.
Key features of the new permit dispensers include:
- Solar power with 4G LTE connectivity
- Flexible payment options that include Visa, Mastercard, Discover Cards, Apple Pay, and Google Wallet
- User friendly, intuitive transaction flow
- Secure point-to-point encryption EMV credit card reader
- New slender model which provides optimal pedestrian traffic flow
Customers will also notice updated signage in existing Pay by Space lots reflecting the change from Pay by Space to Short Term Parking. The permit dispensers will guide users to input their license plate number into the machine. Permits purchased from these permit dispensers are valid in the designated stalls marked with “ST” (short term) in the lot they were purchased in instead of a numbered space.
