First-Year Resident Parking Information
Due to limited parking availability, as well as to support UCR’s sustainability efforts, first-year residents are not allowed to bring a vehicle to campus. We understand that due to certain situations, some first-year students may need a vehicle. The First Year Exemption Request is now closed. We have reached capacity for Fall quarter 2025 available spaces at this time.

Resident Parking Permits
If you bring a car to campus, a valid UCR parking permit must be associated with your vehicle license plate at all times on the UC Riverside campus. Resident permits may be purchased by Transfer to Student Account.
Currently, you can add up to 2 vehicle license plates to your parking permit. While our system allows up to 5 vehicles to be linked to your account, only 2 plates can be associated with your permit, and only 1 vehicle may be parked on campus per day.
